    May 25, 2018, 4:30 PM - 9:00 PM @ Historic Depot

    4th Fridays are music centered community events held on the fourth Friday of each month (May-August) sponsored by B-Town Events. The event starts at 4:30pm with busker attractions leading up to the 7pm headlining band. The event presents an opportunity to gather with family, friends, and neighbors to eat, drink, and listen to music with our historic downtown depot as the backdrop. We have a variety of local Food Trucks and Beer/Wine vendors on-site every month! There are also activities for the kids to enjoy. The event is family oriented and fosters a fun environment for all age groups.

Outdoor Recreation Calendar

  1. Get Hiking! at Shallow Ford Natural Area

    May 24, 2018, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Shallow Ford Natural Area

    Grab a friend and get out for a hike in the woods! This hike is 3 miles on natural surface trail over rolling terrain with a few steep hills. Wear comfortable walking shoes or boots. Bring a water bottle and bug repellent. Trekking poles recommended. All ages welcome. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs welcome! The hike starts promptly at 6:00 pm. Plan to arrive about 10 minutes prior to start time. Meet in the parking area at the trail head signs.

  2. Sunset Paddle @ Guilford Mackintosh

    May 29, 2018, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ Guilford Mackintosh Park and Marina

    Let your stress melt away as you enjoy a leisurely, 2-hour guided paddle. Paddlers will have a guide who provides basic paddling instruction as needed and leads the group on the lake. Fee includes kayak, paddle, PFD, lake fees and guide. For ages 13 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Registration required. Register online at or call 336-222-5030.
